• Proper hanging:
  • Heavy items (e.g., sports jackets, fleece sweatshirts) can be hung on wide-shouldered hangers to prevent collar deformation.
  • Lightweight items (e.g., quick-drying T-shirts, sports bras) can be laid flat to dry or hung by the hem with clips (avoid hanging by the collar to prevent stretching).

• No drying machines: Unless the fabric label explicitly states "tumble dryable," never use a dryer. High temperatures can shrink fabrics and reduce elasticity.

• Store Only When Completely Dry
  • After cleaning, be sure to dry them in a well-ventilated and cool place, avoiding direct sunlight (high temperatures can cause plastic and rubber materials to age and become brittle, and foam linings to harden). Do not dry them near heat sources such as radiators or air conditioning vents.

Use a soft cloth to massage the conditioner into the leather in circular motions, allowing it to absorb for 10–15 minutes, then wipe off excess. Conditioning keeps the leather supple and prevents cracking.

• Separate by color: Wash dark-colored (e.g., black, navy) and light-colored (e.g., white, light gray) sportswear separately to prevent dye transfer. New clothes are best washed alone for the first time to reduce color bleeding.

  • Avoid "hot water washing" and "drying cycles"—high temperatures can damage elastic fibers and functional coatings (e.g., moisture-wicking layers, water-repellent coatings).

  • First, use a soft brush (such as an old toothbrush) or a damp cloth to wipe off dust, mud, and sweat stains from the surface of the shin guards, focusing on the inner side that comes into contact with the skin (where sweat easily accumulates).
  • For stubborn stains (like grass stains or mud clumps), soak them in warm water for 5-10 minutes first, then apply neutral soap or a mild detergent and gently scrub. Avoid using hard brushes or steel wool to prevent scratching the outer shell of the shin guards.

• Deep Cleaning to Remove Odors
  • After washing, rinse thoroughly with clean water to avoid detergent residue (which may irritate the skin).
  • If there is a noticeable odor, add a small amount of white vinegar (1-2 tablespoons per liter of water) to the clean water, soak the shin guards for 10 minutes. The acidic components in vinegar can neutralize odors and inhibit bacteria. Then rinse with clean water.
